  Cannot fault the location....minutes walk to a fantastic beach and very easy access to all local shops and amenities. We loved being able to walk to the beach with all our stuff and that we were so close to 'The Watering Hole'...the fab pub literally on the beach! However the 'Villa' (two storey flat) itself was very disappointing! The guy who showed us where we were staying literally opened the door and that was it! Once inside I could see why....the smell was the first thing that hit me...it smelled old and musty. We knew the buildings were built in the 1970's but I don't think the carpets or furniture have been changed since then either! I had to hoover the carpet in the main bedroom before we unpacked as there was still sand on the bottom of the makeshift wardrobe and hairs beside the bed...I felt like I didn't want to walk barefoot anywhere once I'd showered.
  The bathroom did look like it had been modernised as there were newish tiles however the hose which fed the water to the shower head fell out when my son was showering and when my husband tried to fix it we discovered it was held together by tape! This meant that every time we showered the water poured down the hose rather than through the shower head. Showers had to be very quick as the tray filled up so much because the water didn't drain very quickly...this also meant any sand wasn't washed away so every day the shower looked disgusting! I could go on but they are the main things you want to be working after days on the beach. Luckily we had lots of good weather as you wouldn't want to spend too long there. As I mentioned earlier the location helped you forget slightly how bad they were but it seems such a shame that the people who manage these holiday flats do not seem to care what people think or are paying for. I believe some flats are privately owned and managed by Duchy holidays...these seemed to be nicely renovated and not much more to rent. I wish we had seen these before we booked where we stayed!
